Tax Manager

Summary:
Our Client, a leader in High Tech manufacturing, has relocated their Corporate Tax department to the Boston Area and is building a first class team to oversee the planning, preparation and appropriate accounting for the companys overall Federal and State Tax efforts.
In this newly created position, Reporting to the Tax Director, the Tax Manager prepares federal and state tax returns, tax accounting requirements, and other complex assignments on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities:
Prepare federal and state tax returns and supporting schedules.
The Tax manager will supervise would review the work of Staff Tax Accountants.
The Tax Manager will assist business units with tax issues that may arise. 
Prepare complex financial reporting schedules
Assist the Tax Director or Senior Manager as needed on audits and other special projects
Ensure Tax returns are completed timely and accurately.
Ensure Provision entries and schedules are completed timely and accurately.
Ensure Internal and external auditors are able to adequately review the work.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance required. 
5+ years of experience, either directly out of a National or Big 4 Public Accounting Firm or some combination of Public and Private.
Sound knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws and regulations.
Experience in the preparation of federal and multi-state corporate, partnership tax returns.
Knowledge of Tax Systems
Good interpersonal, oral and written skills necessary.
CPA and/or MST, is a plus.
