Assistant Corporate Controller
 
Summary:
A Growing Private Equity Company in the Financial District in Boston is looking to add a top tier financial executive to their team.  The Assistant Corporate Controller will be responsible for "Owning the Close" process which involves managing an accounting staff, supervising and being responsible for the consolidation of multiple entities in an international environment as well as ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the External Reporting.
 
Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes.
Ensuring financial statement accuracy in accordance with GAAP.
Act as the Companys primary interface with the external auditors
Assist with and act as a subject matter expert with respect to internal control design and implementation
Work toward achieving greater efficiencies in the close cycle as well as streamlining and automating the reporting process
Assist with the migration of spreadsheet schedules and reconciliations to the Companys ERP system
 
Requirements:
This position is ideally suited for an individual who is analytical, detail oriented, and has a strong accounting/finance background
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Big 4 CPA preferred
6+ years combined experience between public and corporate
As this role is a prime succession planning opportunity, a highly motivated, and presentable candidate is desirable
