Title: Junior Financial Manager - North of Boston, MA ($95k-$105k)

Our Client is seeking a high potential and ambitious finance professional to join its Corporate Operations department to provide financial support for our Corporate headquarter functions. With frequent interaction with senior finance management, this role will provide the right candidate with exciting career development opportunities as part of a dynamic finance organization. This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager of Corporate Operations and is based out of the manufacturing divisional Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
The Finance manager is a financial consultant to the Corporate Functions, providing financial decision support on a wide scope of operational matters impacting the achievement of the respective function's objectives.
Must communicate proactive visibility & insights regarding trends, activities and issues that will enhance management decisions.
Provides management with valuable business insights, based on high quality analysis of internal and external data.
Information must be communicated and aligned across functions as well.
Work with divisional or functional management on initiatives that improve operating and financial performance.
Prepares the financial forecasting and reporting activities, including the annual operating plan.
Provides management with timely financial insights and meets corporate requirements for forecasting and reporting.
Ensures that key drivers of forecasts and results are provided to management and corporate finance.
Responsible for monthly financial close processes and ensuring the accuracy of the P&L/balance sheet accounts and monthly activity.
Leads or participates on projects and initiatives that design and/or improve processes while incorporating business, financial and system implications and risks.
Integrates effectively across the companys matrixed organization. Effective lateral communication and coordination across groups, internal and external to the Finance function, to improve efficiency and achieve desired results.
Maintains internal financial controls in all aspects of the functions and groups. Ensures the consistent implementation of the Companys accounting policy throughout the functions and groups.
Identifies areas requiring judgment and estimation, responsible for the accuracy of the financial results in accordance with GAAP.
Stays abreast of industry and company business trends as well as trends affecting functions and organizations.
Outstanding financial analysis skills.
Ability to identify, analyze and present relevant business trends and insights from large, sometimes conflicting volumes of data.
Focus on value creation and supports the delivering of financial commitments.
Solid application of business acumen and judgment.
Able to support the development of strategic initiatives and implement action plans.
Quick learner and problem solver when faced with new issues or challenges.
Work predominantly with minimal direction, exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
Capable of interacting with company senior executives.
Capable to identify and develop methodologies and solutions for standard financial models. Demonstrate strong expertise/use of MS Office-based tools (e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to provide alternative views on issues in a fact-based and constructive manner.
Strong working knowledge of the organization's systems environment, including Oracle, Business Objects and CPM.
Technologically-savvy and can learn new systems, as needed.
Knowledge of US GAAP, company accounting policies and internal controls, with unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards.
8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Finance with increasing responsibilities and senior management interaction.
Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance required.
MBA preferred.
